After graduating with a BA in Humanities, I received my initial massage therapy training at the Boulder School (now College) of Massage Therapy (1996). In 1998 I had subsequent advanced training in Zen Bodytherapy which was created by William Leigh, founder of Zentherapy (www.zentherapy.org). Leigh’s work has it’s roots in the teachings of Ida Rolf, of whom he was a student, (Rolfing); Moshe Feldenkrais (Feldenkrais Method); Janet Travell (Trigger Point Therapy); and Tanouye Rotaishi (Zen Master). This combination in my training provides me with the ability to provide basic massage skills spanning from relaxation and comforting care to deep tissue emphasizing alignment, balance and awareness in movement and recovery. My personal emphasis is spiritual, and considers your whole being: mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. I am also a Noetic Balancing practitioner, which is a psycho-spiritual work with a foundation in self-forgiveness as a vehicle for health and balance on all levels. Each massage session carries no agenda other than what you allow yourself to experience and reveal to yourself for your highest good on all levels. I value conscientious, heart-felt interaction with each person, and believe that the environment that is created to promote growth and healing occurs naturally as intentions are aligned for the highest good of all concerned. My fifteen years of experience allow me to surpass common expectations, and vastly enhance the “standard” massage. I bring compassion to my work and enjoy assisting toward the health of the whole person. I specialize in neck and lower back pain relief, and am continually exploring the mysteries of the physical body as a metaphor for one’s continual inherent motivation toward balance, harmony and peace.
“In the universe there is an immeasurable and indescribable force which those who live of the source call intention – and that absolutely everything that exists in the entire cosmos is attached to intent by a connecting link. Sorcerers are not only concerned with understanding and explaining that connecting link, but they are especially concerned with cleansing it of the numbing effects brought about by all of the concerns of living at ordinary levels of consciousness.”
